Online retail giant Amazon has finally opened its pre-order page for the upcoming remastered version of Resident Evil: Revelations. The game, which was originally released for Nintendo 3DS, will be available on Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and it will be released in North America on May 21.
Improvements and Features
Aside from the improved visuals, Resident Evil: Revelations will also come with additional content such as new enemy, custom parts, difficult setting, and weapons. Hunk will also be a playable character in the game’s Raid mode. As posted on the online retailer’s product description:
The fear that was originally brought to players in Resident Evil Revelations on Nintendo 3DS system returns redefined for home consoles complete with high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience. Furthermore, home console version will deliver additional content including a terrifying new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series.
First introduced in the original version of Resident Evil: Revelations, Raid Mode allows players to play online in co-op mode or alone as a single player. They will take on hordes of enemies across various missions while leveling up their characters and upgrading their weapons. Amazon also shared a bit of detail about the game’s features:
- Explore the dark, sinister areas of the cruise ship with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide with evil creeping out of the shadows
- Features series favorites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield
- Analyze enemies and investigate areas with Genesis scanner to reveal hidden items.
All of this can be yours for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $49.99.
Information and Plot
Resident Evil: Revelations is a critically acclaimed survival horror title that was released in North America last February 7, 2012.
The game, which was developed by Capcom, will take players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. The game will reveal the truth about the T-Abyss virus. In relation to this, the action will start on-board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, Queen Zenobia, before they head to the devastated city of Terragrigia. However, they need to survive the horror of Resident Evil: Revelations with limited ammo and weapons.
