This week’s PlayStation Plus update brings in free big head basketball for the PlayStation 3, as well as puzzle platforming with a steampunk bent on PS Vita.
For PlayStation Plus subscribers who haven’t purchased the NBA JAM: On Fire Edition yet, you’re in for some good news. The game is now available for free on PS3! In addition, Shadows of the Colossus comes in a little under $10 for both PlayStation Plus and regular PlayStation Network users.
As for the Vita users, Chronovolt is now available for free download. According to its game description on Sony:
Chronovolt is a puzzle-platformer with steampunk influences where players control the Chronosphere, a discovery that contains the energy that powers time. You’ll guide it through levels using all of the PS Vita’s controls including tilt, the analog sticks, and rear-touch to have a completely unique experience. Not to mention that by collecting power-ups known as Chronovolts, players are able to manipulate time, such as rewinding the game to save yourself [sic] from a fall that would have otherwise resulted in death. Set in three distinct worlds including a lush Mayan world, a snow-covered Chinese landscape, and a futuristic setting; PS Vita gamers will find plenty to love with Chronovolt.
