It appears that the most frantic and popular multiplayer map in Call of Duty: Black Ops, Nuketown, will be making a comeback this year. That’s because a Nuketown 2025 trailer was posted on the game’s official website recently.
The video basically shows the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map, which will return to Black Ops as a downloadable content. It will also come in free to those who will pre-order the game.
More Call of Duty News
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was announced earlier this year. The game is set during the 21st Century Cold War, and it will feature the usual drones and horses. Also included in the game is the robot enemy force fighting in the devastated city of Los Angeles.
In addition, the game’s primary zombie mode will be the TranZit. Featuring an expansive open world, the campaign will add context to the fight against the undead. Up to four players can explore the map either on foot or while riding a bus. The latter allows faster travel between locations, although it will be difficult to escape from it when overrun by zombies.
Activision and Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will have a worldwide release on November 13 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. A Wii U version will also hit the stores in Europe on November 30.
No More Annual Subscription for Call of Duty Elite
Last month, Activision also confirmed that they will drop the annual subscription for Call of Duty Elite. Instead, the developer will just opt for a Black Ops 2 Season Pass.
The game developer believes that the change in the service could help unite the Call of Duty community. Prior to this, the game’s subscription created a disparity among players, as those with subscription were able to access it before the others. In fact, the service included early access to DLC pack released for Modern Warfare 3.
Now, with the game shifting to a free service and DLC sold separately, all users will be able to play the new content at the same time.
The Nuketown 2025 map will be available for free to those who will pre-order the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. In addition, downloading the multiplayer map during the game’s launch week will give players a Double XP bonus for the weekend from November 16-18. Also included in the bundle is the Nuketown Zombies map.
