Aside from the Alpha NEX 3N and A58 DSLT, Sony also announced three new cyber-shot cameras earlier this week. The said shooters, which feature CMOS sensor for capturing still photos and HD videos, are Cyber-shot WX300, HX300, and TX30.
Each camera has Picture Perfect features that offer a wide array of filters such as Partial Color, Pop Color, Soft High Key, and Toy Camera. They also sport Advanced Flash that boosts the shooters’ sensitivity and extends the flash range to make the subject appear bright even at a distance.
Sony Cyber-shot WX300
The Sony Cyber-shot WX300 is a compact camera with ultra-slim, pocket-sized unit. It boasts 20x optical zoom and Wi-Fi functionality. The built-in Wi-Fi allows easy content sharing through Sony’s PlayMemories Mobile app. It also brings in an improved autofocus and battery life, which allows 500 shots on a single charge.
When paired with an 18.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, it reduces the hand-shake effect and improves the shooter’s image stabilization. In turn, it can produce crisp images and videos at all zoom ranges. There’s also the enhanced Active Mode that ensures steady shooting for handheld movies.
Sony Cyber-shot HX300
On the other hand, the Sony Cyber-shot HX300 is a DSLR-styled compact camera with 50x optical zoom. It has 20.4-megapixel CMOS sensor and Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* Lens. It has the same refined image stabilization as the WX300, as well as an improved battery life that lets users take 300 shots in a single charge.
Sony Cyber-shot TX30
Last but not the least is the Cyber-shot TX30. It has a magnifying glass mode, built-in LCD light, 5x optical zoom, and ISO range of 80-12800. All of these are packed within an ultra-compact body that measures 3 7/8 x 2 3/8 x 5/8 inches.
Weighing less than 5 ounces, it has a thin, rugged, and waterproof compact design. The TX30 is waterproof up to 33 feet, and features an improved auto mode that automatically adjusts the camera settings for ideal composition.
The Sony Cyber-shot HX300 and TX30 will be available next month for about $500 and $350 respectively. On the other hand, the WX300 will land on stores this April for about $330.
