Finally, A Real Use for Your Snuggie

About a year ago the Snuggie was unveiled and instantly tapped into the category of the capitalistic, non-sense junk that we devour. Since then, it  has stormed  into American pop culture.

Every since the ultra cheesy infomercial invaded our TV tubes, which really makes us look like mentally disabled people who can’t answer a phone when under a blanket, the phenomenon that is the Snuggie has been ridiculed, parodied and loved.

There’s a bunch of  parodies on YouTube, like this one. Comics like Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, and several from Bill Maher, who created my favorite spoof the Slum Wow, have taken their jabs.

Weezer has made their own Snuggie for fans. There’s even Snuggie fashion shows, Snuggies for dogs and Snuggie pub crawls.

There’s no doubt that the Snuggie has a struck a chord with consumers.

Why?

Because it’s just a blanket with sleeves, that looks like something that a druid would wear. And, since it’s such a stupid concept, Americans have no problem in having some fun with it.

So, it was only a matter of time before someone figured out something really useful for the Snuggie…

Snuggie Sutra

If you haven’t figured it out yet, the Snuggie Sutra is a site devoted to showing people how to get laid while using their favorite Snuggie. It’s the Karma Sutra for Snuggie owners.

The site got a lot of hype earlier in the year, but there haven’t been any updates from May to September. I guess that makes sense, since not too many people are using their sleeved blankets in 90 degree weather.

Now that it’s getting cooler, the site has added some more positions, I guess to make sure that no guy has to suffer from shrinkage.

The Snuggie Sutra not only gives you tips on combining sex and the Snuggie, you can even add you own unique positions in their form section, if you’re that clever and have made one up.

For all the nonsense that is the sleeved blanket, the Snuggie Sutra is one of the greatest, and funniest, spoofs out there. I highly encourage you to check it out, and please, definitely try it out.
