Hopefully, at this point in your life, you have enough common sense to properly dress and groom yourself for big events. We’re talking about job interviews, weddings, etc.
But sometimes you get stuck in the same routine of the daily grind.
Sure. You still shave, although not everyday. And, manage to still look sharp in a suit. But, let’s face it, in your comfortable day-to-day-life you just let minor aspects slip. However, that all changes when you have an upcoming and important business meeting.
Giving yourself a shave and wearing a proper suit is already in the bag. Now, it’s time for the hair.
Since you’re already in the world of business, we’re going to go out on a limb and say that you’re most likely not sporting a mullet, mohawk, or some other ridiculous hairstyle that screams look-at-me. So, we’re not going to waste anyone’s time by reminding you that those are not a wise style for career advancement.
While a haircut and/or hairstyle should reflect your personality, you should at least keep it clean and presentable. And, make sure to avoid the following three haircuts for a business meeting.
The Preppy

The “preppy” look has seen a revival of late, and, it has many different styles, but it’s one that you should avoid. It’s time consuming, time you could use to actually prepare for the meeting itself, and sends off the vibe that you think too highly of yourself. Odds are that you’re not an elite Ivy Leaguer, celebrity, or young male trying to impress women, which makes it an unwise decision for a business man.
The Lego Man

You may have seen this high fashion style on models, or, in major cities like New York or L.A. However, it’s pretentious and will have people asking themselves why on Earth you decided to look like a children’s toy.
The Faux Hawk

We’re not exactly sure when “the faux hawk” became a popular hairstyle. Perhaps because people saw the irony in it and it eventually became “cool”. While it may even help express yourself, without going to extremes, and, has become acceptable in the office, it’s just flat out lame. Unless you’re a Jersey Shore reject or Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, this hairstyle should be avoided during a bushiness meeting if you want to be taken seriously.
