Love blues with a mix of classic hip-hop and contemporary soul? Gary Clark Jr.’s music is for you. The artist has been introduced by Warner Music group president, Lyor Cohen and Warner Bros. Records CEO/Co-President, Todd Moscowitz in a showcase presented by Puma and Grey Goose at the Darby, NYC.
The event was attended by Hollywood’s big names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Pharell Williams, Swizz Beatz, Andre Harrel, Estelle, Jay-z’s right hand Ty Ty, Ali Muhammed of Tribe Called Quest, Ryan Leslie, Andrew Keegan, Zoe Saldana, Maxwell, Gabe Saptora of Cobra Starship and many more.
Clark is an Austin musician who has been making his mark in the Texas music scene since his early teenage years. In 2010, he was selected personally by Eric Clapton to perform alongside Doyle Bramhall II and Sheryl Crow in the Crossroads Guitar Festival. This huge gig led him into signing with Warner Bros. Records and brought him into working on his first album which will drop in September 11th.
