Known as the “Spanish Enchantress” to her country, nothing can compare to Penelope Cruz magnificent beauty. Penelope Cruz Sanchez or Pe, as she is nicknamed was born in Madrid, Spain on April 28th 1974.
She is the older sister of singer Eduardo Cruz and TV star Monica Cruz. Penelope has a passion for dance, particularly ballet and jazz. She decided not to graduate in high school and focus her time for her passion. She got her 4 years of Theatre training with Cristina Rota and several dance courses at New York.
As a young actress she has been nominated for films such as Jamon, The Girl of Your Dreams, and Belle Epoque. She found herself in demand after that, getting offers to star in American films. She starred in Woman on Top, Blow, All The Pretty Horses and Vanilla Sky. She became a vegetarian after filming All the Pretty Horses. Penelope can speak four languages; Spanish, Italian, French and English. She was named #51 in FHM magazine’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World 2005” and ranked #72 in 2006. Penelope was linked to co-stars Matt Damon and Nicolas Cage. She had also a three-year relationship with Tom Cruise which ended in 2004. She then met actor Matthew McConaughey after filming Sahara in 2005 but the relationship has come to an end eventually. She has been dating actor Javier Bardem, her co-star in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
