Eva Mendes is an American actress born on March 5, 1974 in Miami, Florida but raised in Los Angeles from Cuban-American heritage. She is the youngest of the four children. She was raised Roman Catholic and aspired to be nun.
Eva was teased about her “buck teeth”. She attended High School and later attended a university to study marketing but dropped out to begin an acting career. Her first break was when she appeared in Training Day. The performance led to many roles in movies and finally landed as the female lead in the comedy Hitch with Will Smith. She has done commercials for Fruit Gushers, Revlon and Levi’s “Superlow”.
In 2007, she ranked #7 in Maxim’s Hot 100 issue. Mendes is also the spokesmodel for the 2008 Calendar of Campari, inspired in fairy tales, by photographer Marino Parisotto. She also posed topless for “Vogue Italy” in 2008.
Her hobbies are music, sports (hiking, biking, skiing, and mountain climbing) and interior design. She and her boyfriend George Augusto, a Peruvian film-maker are still together since 2002.
