Katie Price is a British celebrity, a businesswoman and a former glamour model who has appeared topless on Page Three of The Sun newspaper. Since her frequent appearences on Page 3 and in men’s lifestyle magazines, Katie gained public attention and success. Her private life is featured regularly in British tabloids and celebrity-based magazines, making her the rich and famous Katie.
Previously known as Jordan, Katie attempted to cross over from modelling to other areas. She joined as a contestant on the reality TV series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! where she was caught flirting in the jungle with singer Peter Andre whom she married eventually. She was the favorite to undertake each and every “Bush Tucker Trial” challenge which she is not happy about. As a result, she exited the show and left the competition.
Aside from that, Katie had her own documentary shows which aired on top channels, including BBC Choice and E!. The last was Katie & Peter: Stateside, where they relocated to Malibu, California for three months, where Peter recorded an album.
Katie and Peter released a duet album, A Whole New World, on November 2006, with all proceeds going to their chosen charities affiliated with the many health conditions of her eldest son. The album has achieved platinum status. She is also a successful writer and endorser. Her books have won awards and nomination from the most prestigious award-giving bodies.
In 2006, Katie and her husband Peter Andre were ranked #2, second only to David and Victoria Beckham, in an article published in the Daily Mail called The Chav Rich List.
